Leadership &
Consultancy.
Leadership has shaped Dave Brackenridge's life for more than three decades.
His journey did not begin with degrees, management programmes or formal qualifications. It began after leaving school at sixteen with no qualifications at all. Within a few years he had worked his way into senior leadership, becoming a National Sales Manager at just twenty two years old before launching his own company and serving as Managing Director by the age of twenty three.
Those early years taught lessons that no classroom ever could. There were genuine successes. There were failures. There were risks that paid off and decisions that did not. Every season helped shape the leadership principles Dave teaches today.
After six years in business, Dave made the decision to leave the commercial world and commit his life fully to Christian ministry. Since then, leadership has taken many different forms, but the focus has remained the same: building healthy organisations, developing leaders and creating cultures where people can flourish.
Following two years as a youth pastor, where both the youth ministry and wider church experienced significant growth, Dave founded the Christian rock band Royal Foundlings. The band went on to become one of the UK's leading Christian rock bands, touring extensively throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States while receiving widespread television exposure across Africa.
In 2012 he founded Rookie Rockstars, an award winning charity that has impacted hundreds of thousands of children and young people across Scotland through music, education and mental wellbeing programmes. The organisation has received multiple national awards and parliamentary commendations, employed hundreds of staff and become recognised as one of Scotland's most innovative youth charities.
Dave and Ela Brackenridge became pastors in 2018 and planted Home Church Scotland in 2019. What began with a small launch team has grown into one of Scotland's largest and fastest growing multi location churches, built around a culture of evangelism, discipleship and leadership development.
In January 2023 he founded Home Radio, a twenty four hour Christian radio station created to encourage believers and share biblical teaching with a wider audience.
In August 2025 Dave became National Director and CEO of British Youth for Christ. Within his first year of leadership, the organisation experienced significant cultural renewal and moved into its strongest financial position for a number of years, laying foundations for long term health and future growth.
Today Dave teaches leadership because he believes organisations rise or fall on culture. Whether speaking to churches, charities, ministry teams or business leaders, his emphasis is rarely on techniques or personalities. Instead, he focuses on the principles that create healthy organisations over the long term.
Every Tuesday morning he teaches on leadership and organisational culture through the Home Church YouTube channel. Alongside this, he mentors pastors and leaders across the UK and internationally, helping them navigate growth, organisational change, team development and ministry challenges. His teaching is practical, honest and rooted in decades of leading organisations through both success and adversity.
Leadership Distinctives
Dave's leadership teaching is built around convictions that have been tested in real organisations, not simply developed in theory.
Culture is always stronger than strategy.
A healthy culture will carry an organisation through challenges that strategy alone never can.
Character matters more than charisma.
Skills may open doors, but character determines whether leaders can sustain influence over time.
Leadership is multiplication.
Great leaders do not simply build organisations. They build other leaders.
Clarity creates confidence.
Healthy teams move forward when expectations, vision and values are consistently communicated.
Growth should never come at the expense of health.
Sustainable organisations are built intentionally through strong leadership, healthy accountability and a commitment to developing people.
Everything rises or falls on leadership.
Strong leadership does not guarantee success, but weak leadership will eventually limit every organisation, regardless of its potential.
