Who is Pastor Dave Brackenridge?

Dave Brackenridge is a Scottish pastor, church planter, author, international speaker, charity founder and organisational leader, best known for his passionate commitment to proclaiming the gospel, strengthening the local church and raising up the next generation of leaders.

His story is anything but conventional. Leaving school at sixteen with no formal qualifications, Dave built a successful career in business, becoming a National Sales Manager by the age of twenty two before leading his own company as Managing Director. Yet despite professional success, he became convinced that his life was meant for something greater. He left business behind to pursue full time Christian ministry, a decision that has shaped every chapter since.

From Royal Foundlings to Rookie Rockstars

Dave first became known as the frontman of the Christian rock band Royal Foundlings. Touring extensively throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States, the band became two time MOBO Award nominees and reached audiences through concerts, festivals and television across several continents. Music became the platform through which Dave developed a reputation for communicating the Christian faith with passion, clarity and authenticity.

That same desire to reach people led him to found Rookie Rockstars, an award winning charity that has impacted hundreds of thousands of children and young people through music, creativity and mental health education. The organisation has worked in schools and communities across the United Kingdom and has received commendations from both the Scottish Parliament and Westminster in recognition of its contribution to education, young people and community transformation.

Home Church Scotland

Alongside his work with Rookie Rockstars, Dave has become recognised as one of Scotland's leading church planters. After becoming pastors in 2018, Dave and Ela planted Home Church Scotland in 2019 with a small group of around twenty people and a simple vision to build healthy, Bible centred churches that would reach people far from God. In less than seven years that single congregation has grown into a movement of more than one thousand people meeting across twelve locations, making it one of the fastest growing churches of its kind in Scotland. Under Dave's leadership the church has become known for clear biblical preaching, evangelism, church planting, leadership development and a culture that expects ordinary people to live extraordinary lives for Christ.

British Youth for Christ

Dave also serves as CEO of British Youth for Christ, providing national leadership to one of Britain's most established youth evangelism organisations. His leadership has focused on helping the movement become healthier, more sustainable and increasingly effective in reaching young people with the message of Jesus.

International Speaker & Author

His ministry regularly takes him around the world to preach, teach and develop leaders. He speaks in churches, conferences, leadership events and schools, equipping people to live faithfully, lead courageously and build organisations that make a lasting difference. His contribution to ministry and international outreach has also been recognised by the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

As an author, Dave writes with the same practical approach that characterises his preaching. His books include Walk the Word, a devotional series designed to help readers understand Scripture one book at a time while applying it to everyday life, and Growth Blockers, an honest and practical exploration of the barriers that prevent churches from fulfilling their God given potential.

Away from the platform, Dave is passionate about investing in leaders, developing healthy organisational culture and helping churches become places where people genuinely encounter Jesus. Whether he is preaching to a congregation, mentoring emerging leaders, speaking at a conference or creating online content, his message remains consistent: the gospel changes lives, healthy churches change communities and every believer is called to wholehearted obedience to Jesus Christ.

Dave lives in Scotland with his wife Ela. Together they have five children and continue to devote their lives to building the local church, serving the wider body of Christ and helping people discover the hope that is found in Jesus.
